Does anyone know a place in Toronto to obtain income tax advice?
I came to Toronto in November 2016 with intention to settle, yet I did not find a job till January 2017. Thus, I returned to my previous institution for a contract from February till September, 2017. I called CRA earlier this year regarding my income tax situation and was told that I do not have to file until I settle in the country. I did not file this year, but have been hearing something different after I come back. Moreover, I have to figure out whether I would be considered resident after I come back this September or have to file for the whole year.
