Hi, please advise, I applied for a trv on December 1 2022, I was sent a procedural fairness letter on February 8 2023 asking me to explain my us visa refusal that wasn’t mentioned on my application, I responded and waited, yesterday I was emailed with a final decision notice, I was notified of a 5years ban for I admissibility by misrepresentation, I am so numb, i used a travel agency and was never asked about the us visa, and I explained all that in my letter but was still banned, what do I do now??? Please advise me.

Unfortunately you were given a 5 year ban so there is nothing to do. You, not the travel agent, are responsible for making sure all answers are truthful.

CAN THIS BE APPEALED???

Yes, you can try to appeal with the help of a Canadian immigration lawyer. The appeal may or may not work. The applicant is held responsible for the answers in the application whether they complete the application themselves or with the help of an agent.

You can hire a Canadian immigration lawyer and ask but you need to prove there was an error in law. There wasn’t because you didn’t declare the refusal. If you file an appeal with lawyer, it will probably cost around $10k or more.

Since you were applying for a TRV, you may need to wait for the ban to be over and then apply again.

CAN THIS BE APPEALED???

Appeal what though ? If there was an error in the application of the law , then go an appeal. If there wasn’t , and your refusal wasn’t declared , REGARDLESS on who did the application, you the applicant are responsible for any information submitted . Or as stated you wait out the ban .
