In the pool without ECA

Hi,

I recently took a lot of advice from successful Brits who received PR in the last few years. Their' suggestion was to enter the pool without ECA. I am in the process of awaiting to receive my ECA but I have just entered the the pool. Naturally my points are pretty low therefore without my education.

Was this a fool move? My visa expires in 6 months however and I figured I needed to get the ball rolling. I'm hoping I'm not out and out rejected before my ECA arrives with IRCC and I can update my profile, thus increasing my points and chances to be invited to apply.

I'm wondering if I should withdraw my application and just hold tight for my ECA to arrive and add the report to my profile to enhance my points?

If you are already in the pool, no need to withdraw. Just update your profile once your ECA arrives.

I am surprised the system allowed you to submit EE profile without an ECA, considering that is a mandatory requirement. Anyhow, since your score is low without the ECA am not sure why you decided to submit it into the pool in the first place. its a tad bit risky that the profile might become inactive (1 year from time of creating) or ineligible (due to not meeting basic requirements). if your eca is expected soon, you can update the existing EE profile when you receive it. all the best!
