Goodmorning!

My local MP looked into husbands per many residence application which is at the Kingston Jamaica office. I was approved for sponsorship in May and our application turned "in process" in August.

My MP inquired 4 weeks ago and heard back yesterday that my husbands application is "in que for an interview."

His medicals and criminal record check have been reviewed and are fine.

Has anyone heard this phrase before? If this is said, is my husband 100% going to have an interview or is it being reviewed to see if he will require one?

Thanks for any information you can give me.

Hopefully someone else can give a more knowledgeable answer, but I found this information on a website:

"The Immigration Officer may render a decision that, upon review of the application and supporting documents, the applicant is not required to attend a Personal Selection Interview. However, if the Immigration Officer considers that an interview is required, the application will be placed in queue to await an interview date. The exact date of interview will be provided by the Immigration Processing Centre at a future time."

In queue for an interview typically means the application has been selected for an interview and an interview will definitely be held. Interviews are typically required when CIC has concerns about the application - usually they are looking to confirm the relationship is in fact genuine.
