The reason why i was asking is because i read from other forum that when file changes to in process and tells you a date started processing is usually a positive result. But in process without any date is nothing. If they start processing without asking for any additional document but landing fee is also a positive result so you are fine.

Yes so you see the indication of what i was saying from your case. They ask you to pay for the landing fees after the interview means you have been approve at the spot the your ecsa changes to in process which show a very positive result. My wife had her interview on November 28 2012 just a week after your interview but our ecas did change until last friday when they started processing the application on january 10 2012 when it changes to in process. Therefore, in process after interview is usually a good sign otherwise your ecas would have gone directly to decision make.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. My husband is applying from Cuba and his status says "in process," when you click it, the following appears.

We received your application for permanent residence on July 18, 2012.

We started processing your application on November 14, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

On Thursday he received a call from the Embassy in Cuba requesting he present himself on January 31st, with his passport and 2 photos. That is all they said. He has need been requested for and interview, just this. Is this the PPR, and what exactly does that mean. And what would the photos be for. Any thoughts, the wait is killing both of us?

I saw this when I did some research, I hope there is some truth to it.

I also heard that if you're file has moved to in process without a request for an interview by that point, you probably won't be asked to have an interview. Does anyone know if this has any validity?

Trying to stay calm, I don't want to get my hopes up. Do you know if they will provide him with the COPR at the same time? Or will we have to wait for that?

Hi,

My Hubby received an email with AOR from VO last week, and today is ecas the status change to In Proccess
and that they started processing the application Jan 18th.

I hope it means no interview, because we go for a trip to Canada in 2 months for some groundworks before actually moving!
