I know quite a few of you here have been exchanging questions about the application process of Immigrating to Canada but has anyone here been approved and is in the process of moving? I will presume such people would no longer be on this site..however, I came across a form that needs to be filled out prior to landing..

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pbg/cf/b4/.

Does anyone have any information about this ? The list is straight forward but do you know if this is taxable etc.?

Thanks

PS: PMM,thanks for responding to all my questions..U R literally a walking Immigration Encyclopedia.! Thanks!

The B4 and B4a (continuation) is the Goods accompanying and goods to follow lists. You complete one for the goods accompanying you when you land, and check the centre box on the second set for goods following. As settlers effects you don't pay taxes and duties on the goods. Expensive items, with serial numbers should be listed, expensive jewelry, especially "to follow" should have pictures and an appraisal. Other stuff can be listed as xx boxes used clothing, xx boxes kitchenware.
