Dear All.

Anyone have any experience of in-person submission and collection of passport at CHC Delhi. Please share your experience and views. Much appreciated. Thanks.

Is that possible? As far as I know CHC doesn't accept anything in person. You have to send it through mail or courier.

Yeah even I am not sure about it. Just enquiring may be someone had gone through this ie in-person submission and collection of passport at New Delhi visa office. If some one is abroad he/she cannot send the passport by courier/post and has to travel all the way to Delhi and get the stamping done. But Delhi is taking 1-2 months to stamp passports. In such a case the applicant will surely have lost his job in his country of residence as no employer will give more the two weeks at the most.

Just wondering if anyone has contacted Delhi on this issue and got a reply on how to proceed for in-person submission and collection of passport.

Any help is welcome. Thanks.

yes this is a real good question,.

In my case also I am now in India and my current employer is going to send me to Toronto on Work Permit,so while I am there I should eb getting the meds and pp request ...how do we handle this situation..can we get stamped from Buffalo and do the medicals in Toronto itself......

any input will be helpful.

Is it not possible to transfer the file to Buffalo after Medicals is done.

One cannot take leave and goto Delhi for stamping which they are going to take more than 1 month easily nad that is also uncertain.

what complications will happen if one transfers the file only for stamping purpose.

They won't transfer files for "stamping purposes"

You can send your passport through someone to India, get it stamped and get it back through a friend. Avoid mailing the application from abroad to/from India. I am in same boat, just sent passport through a friend.

Thanks for the Details PMM and Sk.Aggarwal.

But what is the MAXIMUM CHC will take to return the passport so that according to my travel plan from Canada I can send it through my friend.
