I have been invited to an in-person citizenship ceremony in Halifax on April 10. The ceremony is not listed here: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ceremonyceremonie/en/Home. Is there any reason this ceremony would not be listed? Any significance to this, or not really?

The email emphasizes that I cannot apply for a passport until two days after the ceremony. (I will receive my citizenship certificate at the ceremony.) I have seen others question this timeline. Do I really need to wait two days? I need to get my passport urgently.

Thank you.

First paragraph reads:

  1. IRCC primarily holds citizenship ceremonies via video, and occasionally in-person. The list below is not a complete list of ceremonies. If you are a candidate for citizenship, you should refer to the official ceremony invitation letter (Notice to Appear) that we sent you.
What's the hurry? 2 days is nothing..

Yes, you really need to wait that long. They have to verify that you actually took the oath and it's in the system. Everything I've read states that. Everyone has to wait the two days.
