Hi,

I'm a British citizen. Did an inland application under Spouse sponsorship

Applied: Feb 2021

Last week I received WP-EXT / Permis - PT-PROR in email - valid for 2 years
Which states Temporary resident.

Should I expect an update on my PR application anytime soon?
Can I travel outside Canada now?

I have tried the Immigration helpline but never get connected to human assistance (they're always busy)

The extension is only valid while you remain in Canada. Leaving Canada effectively cancels the extension. You can leave Canada but need to keep the length of your trips short (thee weeks or less as a general rule) and you don't want to do this too often. Inland requires you to be living in Canada.

Thank you for response. When will I know about my PR status? Is there a time frame?
If I stay over a month in UK and then return to Canada. Does it mean I will have to re-apply?
