I am an IT worker wishing to re-locate to Vancouver/BC.

I frequently read about the IT skills shortage in Canada, but would be grateful for more detail on the specific skills most in demand so that I might improve my marketability.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi abracad,

this is what I'd do: I'd open my browser at workopolis.com, then go to Find a Job and then take a quick look at all the IT related job postings. That will give you a good understanding on what skills are being asked at this time.

It's a very easy, quick and free way to answer your question.

Good Luck!

Interesting and informative overview Govindu. Yes it is true that everyone should start learning these technical skills necessary to survive in the competitive world.
