Hi,
In citizenship test, do I have to translate/bring my previous passport that is before the landing day but within the 5 years eligibility period which is from the application day?

Thanks,

~A

Thanks, I will take the old one but would like to know from people's experience, if the old passport is before the landing (before becoming a PR), but still covers some of the 5 years, would the OP be interested in it?

I'm asking as my old password has a lot of stamps and would cost me a fortune to translate plus it has nothing to do with my physical stay in Canada as it expired before my landing.

I had no stamps that needed translation on the expired one.

The question is did you use any credits from the time spent pre-PR for your citizenship eligibility? If yes, then the officer may want to see if you claimed the right entry and exit dates!

I had 9 stamps translated and certified for only 36 bucks. I think it is worth trying to translate it.

Thank you, the answer to your question in my case is no, my previous passport has nothing to do with my physical presence in Canada, all the days used to calculate my physical residency are after I became PR which fall within the current passport.

Then I don't think you need to translate them. You passport bio pages show the dates the passport was valid and it will be obvious that it was irrelevant to your eligibility.
