In Canada Spousal Application - Extended Visa

Hello,

I'm currently in the process of gathering documents for my spouse who's in Canada so she can apply for permanent residency. She's here on a International Experience work visa that was issued through SWAP. Does anyone know if she is allowed to continue to work while her Visa is extended? Or does that just allow her to stay in the country. I'm trying to decide if we need to apply for a new work Visa at the same time?
