Hello,

The process is into 11th month, and hopefully will be seeing some results soon on the PR.

Just wondering if we applied from within Quebec on a spousal immigration. Do we need to remain in quebec for work and can we move out of quebec too?

What about now, when the PR is not here yet.

Spousal immigration is a federal program, so once you have your PR, you don't have to stay where you currently are.
However, it is recommended that you stay where you are - because Quebec has its own procedures, so it might just be easier to stay where you are until the PR is granted. Once that's done, you can move wherever you want in Canada - as far as I'm aware.
Good luck!

Oh thats just sweet..

I have one other thing .. Since I am now in 11th month. And knowing that there was a foreign immig. worker strike which may have delayed the process. Do you think its wise to apply for a Employment permit.. or should just wait for the PR ?

if you've applied inland, you should have included an Open Work Permit application together with the rest of the PR application, to be processed at the same time as stage 1 - it's usually granted, and allows you to work until the PR process is completed (stage 2 can be somewhere from 6 to 8 months as far as I know - but better ask somebody in the inland thread). SO if you haven't sent an OWP application, you should do it, so it can be processed at the same time as stage 1.

here is a link to a similar discussion and how to apply for an OWP http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/working-while-waiting-for-permanent-residency-t172682.15.html

you can do it now even if you have already been waiting, just make sure to include a cover letter with the info on your sponsorship and put "TO BE PROCESSED WITH INLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP" on top so it's clear.

Good luck,
