In Canada on work permit when PR is issued, applied for PR in India

Hi Guys

I am in a strange situation at this point. My husband is going on a student visa to Canada in Dec 2019, meanwhile i received my ITA, added my husband to the file and have submitted my pr application in June 2019. My husband is supposed to go in Dec 2019 to Canada to join a course and assuming that my pr application will still be processing at that point of time taking into account the current delays, i am planning to take a work visa and go along with him till the time pr does not come. But the confusion is while i am in Canada on a work permit and our pr comes how will we manage? Do we need to again come back to India, get the passports stamped and then fly back to Canada or is there a way out that we can get all this processing done in Canada?

You can ask them to process your passports in Canada and then you can land in Canada. Once you get the PPR email, reply and tell them that you're already in Canada.

You can also raise a CSE using the Webform once you've both come to Canada to let them know in advance.

It's not a big deal.
