Importing Vehicle with PR Landing

Hello. I am a US citizen and have a car that I bought in the US. I temporarily imported this car into Ontario in August 2017 while I was here (Ontario) working on a WP.

I am almost done with the PR process - I just mailed in my passport and documents regarding that step today.

If possible, I would like to keep my current car but know that I would have to somehow permanently import my current vehicle since it is currently only temporarily imported. I never had to export it from the US as of yet.

Any advice on what the best way for me to go about this would be?

You'll have to call to verify, but I suspect you'll have to take it back over the border, and file the export notice (at least 72 hours before export).

I would land as a PR and then import the car. It is literally 10 more minutes to spare in between each process. Not worth getting the officers confused and add to their paper work all in one go.
