I have done a work permit application under LMIA.
I have received an Original Passport Request Letter. But i have a question regarding that.
Do we have any VISA expiry date like we have in student visa? i.e. If I get my VISA stamped back on September 20th, does that mean I have to leave for Canada within a certain time frame? If yes, what would be the time frame ? The reason I am asking is, I have not yet resigned from my current job in India, and I will resign after my VISA is stamped. Given, I will have to bake in some time period, which is notice period of my current job + packing time + leaving a few days ahead of my joining date. It can add up to three months.
That means if i get my VISA stamped on September 20th 2022, Can i join Canada around Jan 20th 2023.
