Hi all,

My application was returned for missing some additional family information. I just recieved it in the mail, fixed the errors, and sent it again.

I just realized that instead of putting my parents home address, I misread it and put their email address. So, I made a mistake, again. What do you all suggest I do, so it does not get returned yet again? :(

Send an amended version with a cover letter to ignore the previous one.

If you never had an application number nor UCI, there's no way for them to match anything you send them at this point to your application, so doing that would be pointless. I hope you made sure you submitted updated forms. If this is the only mistake you have, you may be lucky and they'll just ask you to submit the form again online or by mail, or even let it pass. Unless you can stop them from delivering your package, I don't see anything you can do to fix this and the only option is to wait to see if they return it again or not.

It said I have a file number but that is it.

Do you have that file number? Most likely it was a temporary one, so you would probably get a new one. The only thing I can think of is you try to keep an eye on it, calling regularly to see if they have the application in their system, then if they're going to return it, they would tell you why and then you could mail the correct form before they actually return it. I suggest you try to call regularly to see if you can catch it in time. But realistically, you should be prepared to just wait, hoping they won't return it.

You should have received information that your case has been received. It should have contained a UCI number. Returning applications usually happens after that stage or did in my case. If all else fails call CIC
