Hi
I want to know if the concept that 'the longer your bank statement holds an amount required for visa the better it is', is it true? Also, if my spouse is in canada and I got accepted at a university, can we show a joint account to show funds?

Moreover, what are the chances of a woman getting student visas based on admission to an engineering field. Also consider that her husband is a student of the same university in Canada. Does that lower the chances of admission?

Regards

The fact you are a woman does not lower your chance of approval. The fact your husband is already studying in Canada likely does since this means you have stronger ties to Canada than your home country and CIC may suspect you are looking to move to Canada permanently.

Yes - you can use a joint bank account to show funds. Make sure the bank account has more than enough funds to cover both your studies and expenses as well as your husband's.
