Import Car as a Student

Im going to study my whole career in Vancouver (3 years aprox.) and I want to go with my car from Mexico City.

I want to know if I have to import my car or there is no need for any special process and if so, if i have to buy a special insurance here in Mexico or in Canada or pay any permit and that kind of stuff.
