Implied status

My visa will run out before I get my nomination. Which work permit do I apply for to get on implied status? I'm a little confused about it all! Do you have to do a LMIA for it? and did it end up getting rejected? Any pointers would really be appreciated! Thanks

Don't apply for an extension that you are not eligible for. You could end up in trouble if your application is returned as "incomplete".
Safest bet is to apply for a change of status to visitor.
