Hi there,
I enrolled in a co-op program in a private college last year. During my Co-op term I was an intern in a Canadian Company. Upon completion of my internship my Company hired me and I've been employed full-time by them for the last three months. I'm still using my co-op work permit remained from my co-op program to work legally and get paid.
I also applied for PNP using the job offer I received from my company. My PNP application does not seem to get resulted before two or three months as they have just processed the application fee.
The thing is that, both my study and co-op work permits expire at the and of this year which is December 31st, 2009. And I didn't want to loose my temporary worker status in order to continue working in my company (least a certain while). So, instead of waiting for the result of my PNP application, I've applied for another co-op program in another school.
Including the letter of acceptance from my new school, I've sent another application for the extension of my current study permit & a new co-op work permit (from my new school), just before my current co-op work permit (from my previous school) expires. (This application was a joint application : a study permit extension & a new co-op work permit for my new program)
My question is, even if the employers of my current and new co-op work permit is different, will I be on implied status because of another co-op work permit application before the current one expires? Or an implied status is only applies just for work permit extension applications under the same employer?
Last question is, even if there is an application made, as long as my current co-op work permit expires till the new year, am I allowed to leave Canada and then re-enter?
Any help will be appreciated very much. Thanks in advance!
