Hello!

So I am currently here in Canada on a tourist visa (6 months). It expires in 10 days. However, I have applied to extend my stay here just today. Now here is my question, I know I have "implied status", if I applied at least 30 days prior to when my current visa expired but I didn't, I applied just 10 days out. Thus, in my scenario do i still have implied status? Meaning would i be able to still stay after my current visa expires as they process my application or would i have to leave as i only applied for an extension 10 days prior?

Thank you.

As long as you have applied for extension before your current visa expired, you are on a implied status and can legally stay in the country until you have their decision.

Good Luck
