Hi everyone,

Here is my situation…
I have a valid SOWP (husband had a Study Permit).
He finished the program and nowadays he holds a PGWP.
I applied to renew my SOWP using his PGWP + Job noc A + Paystubs.

My question is about the possibility to continue working under implied status.

IRRC website states that:
“you’re authorized to keep working under the same conditions as your original work permit until we process your application.”

what Do they mean with “the same conditions as your original work permit”?? Is it like, if it was an Open Work Permit, it should remain as Open… or if it was a closed work permit it must remain as a closed work permit??

my original work permit is related to the fact that my husband is a student, but now he has a PGWP, so he isn’t a student anymore…

Can I keep working under implied status??

Yes, it means you can continue working under the same conditions of your previous work permit. So since your previous work permit was an open work permit, you have implied status to continue working under open work permit status.
