Hi can someone give me advice about my status..

I already reach a four-year maximum Working in Canada..

I want to know if i can still be able to work, as i know theres no more WP extension in my case so apply for a visitor permit last end of january im still waiting for response till now.

I know my status is implied, now my WP expired lat april 11. my employer said i can still be able to work but im not sure about that..

I would greatly appreciate it if you kindly give me some advice at this case Thanks!!

No - you can't continue working. Any work after April 11 has been illegal.

You have implied status to remain in Canada as a visitor since you submitted a visitor permit. However this implied status does not allow you to continue working. You would only be allowed to continue working legally under implied status if you had submitted a work permit application (rather than a visitor permit application).

You need to stop working immediately.

Thanks scylla for quick reply..

I misunderstood about that kind of implied status apply.. so now i cant be able to work with my current implied status, how about if i apply for implied status for WP? is there a chance that i can get the implied status for WP.. Thanks

It's too late to get implied status that will allow you to keep working. In order for you to get implied status that would have allowed you to keep working legally, you would have had to have applied for a new work permit before your old work permit expired. Since your work permit has already expired - this isn't possible. Your only legal option is to stop working immediately.

If you want to start working again, you will need a new approved LMIA and will have to apply for a new work permit. You will only be able to start working once the new work permit is approved.

Now it make sense to me thanks a lot scylla for lots of information you share i really appreciate it! you save me for illegal working.

As for the work permit i think i cant get anymore even i have LMAI because i already reach the four-year maximum Working in Canada theres a big chance that i get refuse anyway thanks again syclla.. have a nice day!!
