Implied status and BOWP

hi experts,

my situation is I am on a 1 year open work permit that is expiring June 28th 2017. I have just applied for permanent residency via the Federal Skilled Worker Programme and received my AOR. I am eligible to apply apply for a bridging work permit. However I am confused as to when exactly I will be on implied status if I do apply.

Will I be on implied status the minute I file my BOWP application?
Will I be on implied status when my current work permit expires on June 28th?

This matters to me as I am not allowed to leave Canada and keep my implied status and I need to go on business trips for work to the US.

4 months before your work permit expires you can apply for BOWP. Mine took 36 days when I receive my BOWP. but if your BOWp is not approve and your wp expires then you are on implied status until your bowp is approve. but you cant leave the country when your on implied status. if i where you you wait for your bowp.
