Impact on student visa application if spouse has work permit?

My has been offered a job in BC and will apply for a closed work permit.

Her spouse wants to apply for his Masters. They are both outside Canada right now.

If the wife gets a work permit, will that have any effect on his student visa application? does it make his case stronger or worse?

I dont think there'll be any impact on spouse study permit application. there is ties issue but that may be overcome by spousal relationship...

If the masters is from a reputable university and the course makes sense based on previous education and work history the fact that the spouse has a WP will likely not be an issue.
