We are temporary residents here and we are yet to process our PR application this year. Last 2 nights ago, me and my common-law partner fought and I was worried because he was yelling and shouting at me in front of my toddler. He wouldn't stop even if I begged him to. I was also scared the situation might escalate. so I called 911 and police came over and interviewed us separately and asked me at the end of the conversation what would I want for us. I said we can settle it and just wanted help to calm the situation and so that he can stop. Then the police left.
My question is, would that scenario affect our future background check for PR application? There were no charges or something. I even called EPS to ask and they said they just have a report as part of their job but there is no formal "Police Report" or "Incident Report"
And to highlight, there is no violence involved.
Hope someone can answer me as my common-law is fighting me for what I did and is worried for his/our future PR application.
