I've received the answer letter about 3 weeks ago for the CSQ, "Ouverture de votre dossier" . so, everything seems to be allright, now i just keep waiting for further "interrogations".

Regarding my WHV, well, like everybody already mentioned, no way to extend it, at least not the work permit. So, i found the
Program "Young Professionals", with would be then a work permit for only 1 employer max 12months. I applied for that one, sent the documents last week. took me a while for the german police clearance, but got it done as well. And again, now its just waiting again, about 6 weeks to get accepted, IF.

I'm just interested now what they want me to do for the Perm. Residency. Medic. Exams for sure,..the rest...don't know.

how are you?

I finally have received an answer from the Immigration Office regarding my "certificat de selection du quebec",... after 3 months.

There are missing documents, documents they haven't mentioned in the beginning and I have got 60 days to get them.....
or my file will be closed.

Most of them i will be able to provide in the next 60 (!) days, but there are some documents i'm not sure about.

which would be: Attestations de Travail pour les 5 derniers annees.

apparantly they have to be on Company letter head, with start/end date of employment
address of employer
fonctions occupe et breve decriptions des taches.

AND: the most confusing to me : immatriculation a la securite sociale?

I have been working quite a lot in different countries over the past 5 years. I do have "Reference Letters" stating the most of the informations they want, but it never says the "social insurance number" on it. Is it allright to attach a final payslip showing the SI number?

Or do i get something wrong here?

I think i need some help, please...

How r u?!
I hope you're doing fine.

Well think of it like this, they want to get proofs of your work experience you have mentioned in your application.
So, since you've been workin in different countries it could be hard to have a "social insurance" as a proof of the places you've been working for over the past time (previous 5 years).

So as I believe you should provide every proof you currently have, from recommendation letters, insurance certificates, tasks & resposibilities (maybe from your employers websites if any), pay-slips, bank accounts showing salary deposits from your employers..etc.

The point is to try to persuade them of the jobs you've mentioned in ur application.

I just have to get some Doc's translated. Hopefully i can send it in the next 7 days. Got 40days left to do that...

I've got another less related question. On the application kit it has been mentioned not to put anything in plastic sleeves, or nothing to be paperclipped. Do you know why they don't want it better looking and organised? Instead of dumping everything in an envelope where small things like passport pics or anything else could get stuck inthere and being claimed "missing" ....

You're so welcome!

7 days of 40 left..you got to hurry up!

Well, I used tiny paperclips to group my doucments, you can still use paper separators between the groups of documents (colored paper separators will definitely show your artistic touch!!!)

Anyways don't worry, they sort and read every single paper you send.

I have sent my application to Nova Scotia post June 2010 and as I saw my VO's processing time is so long, so I now can apply one more for Quebec because I see it is quite faster.

In this case is there any problems with my application because as I see if one of them processes faster, I will cancel the other.

wow, I missed that part and have sent all the stuff segregated in 4 plastic sleeves, but apparently they've made through it as I got confirmation ;-)

regarding the paperclips....lol i'll give the "artistic touch" a try.

I have applied for my work permit "Young Professionals" in mid-march (15th) , and I haven't had any answer yet.
(it said 4-6 weeks processing time) It's not that i'm watching the time with a stop watch but i'm getting nervous now,
its already 4 weeks over! I guess, because (obviously) i'm not the only only one applying for that, and I have applied right in the middle of it (starting to take application beginning december 2010), and, it just takes longer. Hopefully.
Anyway, the "missing-documents"-letter says also to add a photocopy of my work permit. I definitly have to add a copy of the one i already have, which expires in mid-july, but i haven't got the new one yet. Should I wait for it a bit longer? I think it looks nicer if i can add a copy of the new one (or a least the letter the introduction) to show that i already have an employment arranged for the next upcoming 12months.
I just need to get the other documents certified (can be done anytime when I need, got the "connections" ) and i'm ready to go,.... the new work permit, thats why i'm "waiting". Due date for Missing Documents: 25th July.

And, another question,please.

Last year, where I've applied for Perm. Residency, I've only mentioned my education as well as my apprenticeship, I had to translate the documents. Thats done. But, I have also achieved some IT Certifications (CompTIA) which I (unfortunately) forgot to mention. Can I still add them now to the "Missing Documents" ? Or will they be confused now where the heck they come from? ...


What is your appreciated opinion about that, please ?

If it's in March, that's sooo late already!!!!

If it's in mid-May, which means merely 4 weeks ago, so you may get it soon.
I would recommend to wait for a week or so, so you can add the new wok permit with the documents you'll send.
I guess you have enough time till the due date for sending these documents..yeah?!(Ah..just noticed..25th. July..well enough time)

If you do not want to wait, I guess you should write to them to explain you're currently waiting for a new work permit.
(I tend to go with the first option)

Of course you've all the right to add any certificate you forgot to add.
It's normal to add any documents you missed to include in your original application.

to answer your question, i've applied Mid-March 2011. I've recently checked how many of those Visa's are still available, and there are none left for this year. hopefully i've got mine.

sorry, its me again, the paranoid and "never-running-out-of-stupid-questions"-lepatissier07. :

On my "Missing Documents"-letter they want (as I've already mentioned) "Toutes vos attestations de Travail......annees."

I've read they HAVE TO BE the Originals. Is that true? I hope they send me all that back, i do not feel comfortable to send Originals, doesn't matter who and where that is, especially THESE office guys. and not knowing when they come back, or IF they come back. If I loose these documents i can forget my retirement payments in my later life, i need them in germany to proof that i've paid my "contributions". : At the moment I've photocopied ALL of them and let them being certified at the notary for immigration.
Wouldn't that be enough? :

Well, normally they ask for the originals to be sure about documents authenticity, and normally you'll get all your documents back.
If you have notarized your documents, in a way preserving their authenticity, you may send these notarized copies.

If you decided to send the originals, don't worry, you'll get them back at the end of the process.
