On the "Application/profile details" page, there is a session called "Immigration history and citizenships".

It asks if I had applied to CIC before. Since I submitted a FSW application, I must enter yes.

However, the system then asks me my UCI number - but I don't have a UCI number yet.

And the system doesn't allow me to Validate because the UCI number is missing. Has anybody seen this? What should we do? IMHO it is a bug.

just type eight zeros 00000000

it worked for me ;)

Yes... but it's cheating... It's not your UCI number because you don't have it.

come on. dude. really? It's clear as a day that eight zeros are actually "N/A"
btw, when I was trying different ways of entering, every time I typed n/a, or none or sth similar I would get a message on the top of the page to write - eight zeros! try it for your self and you'll see. and that's how I got the idea in the first place, I saw that zeros on the top of the page ;)

I am in the same situation. I have completed all the other sections of my EE profile but the fact that I still haven't received my UCI number from my FSW application is keeping me from submitting my application.

I believe the CIC call center is closed today due to new years and will reopen tomorrow.

Hopefully we can get a response from them regarding what needs to be done when they are open.

Can I apply in Express Entry as I have already applied for FSW 2014?

Very Important Info

I've called the Call Center to confirm the information regarding FSW applicants without UCI number.

The lady confirmed that we should say it's our first application with the CIC - and not to say we already applied and that our number is 00000000!

Another applicant on the FSW thread did the same thing and also got the same information. We spoke with different agents.

okay, tnx, i'm gonna change that in my profile.

some say just put yes and fill UCI number with 000000 and some say put no . both cases can be considered as misrepresentation . i tried to contact the CIC call center put no answer. please if someone has an offcial answer from them so he can enlighten us. thanks

According to CIC website:

"This eight digit number appears on all documents you get from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). It looks like this: 0000-0000.
If you applied to CIC before

Look for this number on:

letters you received from CIC,
your immigration document such as a PR card, study or work permit.

If you do not have any of these documents but want to fill out an application form:

you can leave the field for UCI (Client ID) blank."

this is the link: www*cic*gc*ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=772&t=4

When I contacted CIC call center here is the response I received.

One should answer as yes, if they have applied earlier.

He was not clear on what should UCI number be since I have not been issued, he emailed me a case specific form which you can fill and ask your question to CIC.
I would say its a grey area.

I dont agree with saying, "not applied" since thats not the correct declaration, since applicant knows he/she has applied.
As we dont have UCI number, I belive entering 000000 is fine till we receive the right direction from CIC as its as good as NA.
