Does any one know if the Immigration File Number is the same info as the Client ID Number?

If your diplomatic post sends AORs it will be on the AOR, however, you can log in to eCAS with your client ID and get all the same information you can get with the immigration file number.

You will have the same information no matter which number you use to log in.

The immigration file number is created by the diplomatic post as soon as they have created your file after receiving your application, so this happens way before the actual visa is approved or issued.

actually they assign you a file number the moment they start working in your case - your status changes to in process that moment.
