It has to be in Canadian Dollars. If you have FCY(USD) account than your bank can do it for you, otherwise you have to contact any money changer like Dollar East or Galaxy. They will charge Rs. 1000-Rs. 1500 as a fee, and will give you the Draft.

You can equally pay using credit card.
Good luck
Benny

A friend of mine asked me that he has a Bank Alfalah, Pakistan's Visa Credit Card and it has restriction on its online transactions. He asked the question that if He writes his Credit Card No while paying his fee to CIC, NS, will his transaction be through or it will be declined?

I request all of the friends on forum to answer this.

Any reply from PMM and Leon specifically would be wellcome.

I am also using bank alfalah credit card for the fee payment. I confirmed it from bank alfalah credit card helpline that credit card having restriction on online transaction CAN be used to pay fee for immigration by writing credit card details on that particular form. Because it is not online transaction, this is called mail transfer. CIC will post that slip on which we have signed and entered our credit card information to "visa card" people and they will do the transaction.

So you don't need to activate your credit card on internet for making this transaction
