Hey all,

I applied for scholarship and student loan both, for my post-grad studies in Canada..Regarding my education status (BS 4 year in Mass Communication with 3.2 GPA and 2 years experience in media society during education), almost all universities considered me for scholarship.

However, I got to know that an international student studying on scholarship in Canada cannot apply for immigration. I want to know about the authenticity of this information, and what if I get a student loan from the Canadian university in which I will get enrolled? Would I be able to apply for immigration then?

Cheers!

dont see why a scholarship would cause any problem. I've never heard of that one.

P.S. you cannot get a student loan from a canadian university. If you have to, it will need to be done through a bank in your native country.

1. Wrong, you can't apply for PGWP if you are on government sponsored (Canada or home country) scholarship. University funded scholarship has nothing to do with your PGWP.
