Immigration application status

I have applied for Immigration to Canada under skilled worker category in the year 2004 & updated it in November,2008 as instructed by CHC, New Delhi. I would like to know current status of my application. I have tried on CIC site, but unable to get it.
Pl. help/guide me and oblige.

Open the page, follow the instructions, enter details, and you will find your status there.
You may see:
we started processing your applcation on--------
Also it could be:

Status: "In process".

From there you can go to Case specific enquiry and able to send a message requesting for the current status of your applicationton.
