Hi satd,

Both are OK as dependants.

According to CIC :

Dependent children

A son or daughter is dependent when the child:

is under the age of 22 and does not have a spouse or common-law partner;

is over the age of 22 and has been continuously enrolled as a full-time student and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22;

became a spouse or a common-law partner before the age of 22 and has been continuously enrolled as a full-time student and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since becoming a spouse or common-law partner,
or

is over the age of 22 and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22 because of a physical or mental condition.

The limit is 22 years, but it's better to check the Guide for FSW in the CIC website.

Hello,

Thanks for your prompt reply wilson and wilbur. One more question, is it still ok that my child turns 22 during the process of immigration?

Hi satd :D,

The age of your child should not be above 22 when the CIC accept your application. The age at the time of the receipt of the application will be locked and if he reach above 22 during the process ( say 23 or 24 yrs) it won't matter. Good luck!!
