Immigrating to Canada

I have done Bachelor of Computer applications from India and have a work experience of 1 year.Kindly let me know if I can immigrate to Canada on the basis of my degree in computer applications?Is this degree included in Skilled occupation list for Canada?

I also have a relative in Canada.Can she be helpful in anyway?

YOU ARE ELIGIBLE IF YOUR WORK DUTIES FALL UNDER THE 38 NOC LIST, CHECK CIC WEBSITE.

YOUR RELATIVE CAN FETCH YOU GOOD POINTS.

I guess work duties come into picture if a person's job come under 38 NOC list .. How can a junior programmer file for FSW when his designation is not covered under tht 38 list .. right?

So I guess designation is the primary criteria and after tht they check the roles and duties .. But I may be wrong .. Some experienced ppl may be able to throw some light on this ..

Manu this is not sufficient information t comment, but looking at your 1 year exp after BCA, I will say you are not eligible. Please go through eligibility tool and self assesment test at the following link

There is only one occupation in IT/Computer/Software field that qulifies for FSW-1 and that is 0213. To prove that you belong to 0213, designation is not important but your job duties are and also your education and number of years of experience
