Immigrating to ALBERTA

Guys, can anyone shed some light and share his/her experiences about pros/cons of immigrating to Alberta?

I wonder why much is not discussed about this province which has one of the highest per capita income, beautiful landscapes, low taxes and affordable housing, when compared to other prominent places like Ontario, BC etc??

I think one of the main reason is because Alberta is in a downturn because of the oil crisis/low price of oil currently.

During 2015/2016 this resulted in a lot of persons being laid off, some persons leaving Alberta for other provinces or going back to their home country because they couldn't find work. Also a lot of companies closed etc.

The Province is slowly coming back but it's not where it use to be....so I guess people are more risk averse when it comes to Alberta.
