Hello :),

I'm 23 years and I'm contemplating to immigrate to Canada. I went to the official page of the Canadian Embassy of my country (Dominican Republic) but the occupation I want to apply for is not listed within the eligible occupations. The other option to immigrate is to have a previous arranged employment. I graduated from college in 2011 in Computer Engineering and I currently work on a high level help desk for a financial institution and I would like to know if there are any known agencies or companies in Canada that can offer jobs as User Support Technicians to a foreign.

I would really appreciate any kind of guidance.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Immigrate to Canada under User Support Technician

It's more likely you'll have a Canadian company come into your country to setup an office. Computer Tech support is a big outsourcing profession.

Also, if your job isn't on the list of in-demand FSW professions, it will insanely difficult to find an employer to sponsor you and get permission from HRSDC to hire you. Many people that are "computer engineers" under FSW have skills that translate into Tech Support and can fill those roles.

Computer Engineering IS on the FSW list. You should try to find a job to give you proper experience here........... that would make the most sense.
