Immigrant Visa in my Cancelled Passport with valid. I get new passport due to ad

Dear Seniors and Friends;
Your helps and experience are really helps us for our current situation.

I My PR application approved and received Immigrant Visa and COPR in the month of JAN-2015. And My Immigrant VISA valid till 30th of May.
Inbetween I changed my permanent address so I update same in my Passport to which is having Immigrant VISA stamped. Now Passport office issued new Passport and canceled old Passport.
I am currently In INDIA.

I have checked with CIC call center in CANADA they instructed still the VISA is valid and I can travel with both Old and New Passport togather.
But suddenly yesterday i received Delhi Canada High commission I need to replace the Immigrant visa in New Passport. unfortunately we planned to fly on Next week.

Any one faced similar situation Visa in old passport and traveled with new passport along with Old.
