Hi there everyone,

I imagine some of you know me by now, had a few questions up regarding my applications. Got a new one, hopefully the last!

  • I'm applying for Permanent Residency through Spousal Sponsorship.
  • I am currently on an IEC 2012 visa.
  • I am trying to fill out IMM 5710 for an Open Work Permit
  • I am currently employed and plan to continue this job.

I've been talking to a forum member about 'keeping things simple' on this form, as to avoid requests from CIC about an LMO etc.

1) For question 3, would you recommend Work Permit with new employer or Work Permit with same employer? Bearing in mind I was given an IEC 2012 without my current job listed.

2) Under Prospective Employer is it acceptable to write NA?

3) When asked to attach a letter of job offer / employment contract can I leave this out too?

I've been told, at least for BOWP, it's best not to mention the employer as this can complicate things. So I'm looking to find the simplest way to fill out this form whilst not making it unacceptably incomplete!

As always, your time and advice is much appreciated!
James

As always I'm looking for the answer myself and got through to CIC with a pretty simple answer.

IMM 5710 Q3) Work Permit with same employer

Prospective Employer Just fill in details of current employment.

Job offer letter / contract Not mandatory but if you have one throw it in.
