IMM5669: unknown date of birth

Hello,
My husband has to fill up the IMM5669 form, but he doesn't know the date of birth of his dad. The guide says to write star signs or asterisks instead, but it doesn't work.

It works but the thing is that we have to upload the form directly into the account, we can not print it, scan it and upload it.
It means we can not join a separate sheet for the explaination...
