IMM5511?

I tried to enter Canada by air (Montreal) with an expired PR card. I was given an IMM5511 (residency questionaire) by an officer but was not told anything else (like where to send this document or any sort of deadlines). She did say that she will take note that I received this form. What does this mean? Am I filed a removal order? The officer did not say anything about a removal order. I am suspecting that since I was under 22, the officer was just talking BS.

Next year, I am hoping to re-enter Canada again by land with a landing paper. I am from a visa-exempt country. What are my chances of being reported this time? Is there any possibility that the officer will let me in if I say that I can live for two years straight (enrolled in school)? If I am allowed in, I will stay 730 days to renew my PR card.

3. Did the CBSA agent make copies of your PR Card and travel documents?

4. Were you interviewed and did the CBSA agent take notes?

If you got PR more than 5 years ago you are playing a dangerous game. The residence obligation is looking back over a 5 year rolling period..you can't slide by immigration on the assumption that you will make up the breach in 2 years time. The CBSA agent you meet next time may not be as accommodating...note Montreal is one of the 'tougher' airports due to the metropolis having one of the highest rates of residence fraud for PR and Citizenship applications in Canada (Mississauga being the other place). I always find their Secondary Inspection very thorough!

4. I was interviewed briefly and she said she is taking notes. When I asked her about the IMM5511 form, she just told me to do some research over the internet.

To clarify, I am trying to enter by land, not by air. Is there anything that I could do to enter Canada (or at least increase the probability) this one time? Did anyone have a similar experience?

Seems you were not reported. There may not have been enough to make the report watertight. Your entry and issuance of the RQ is in their records - she was warning you. I don't see how you will avoid Secondary Inspection in future regardless of the border crossing. Is what you are doing outside Canada so important as to risk PR - only you know that.
