I'm Canadian Citizen Sponsoring my wife from US. Doing Outland application. She doesn't have any kids. I'm only sponsoring her. We are married. I live in Canada and she lives in the US. I have two kids of my own. One is 9 the other over 18.

The form is to be filled by the "Principal Applicant", since in the checklist this form is listed under the sponsored person section, I assume it is the Sponsored person that should fill it. But that Document checklist is for the sponsor... this form in particular is more ambiguous:
"Original of completed Additional Family Information (IMM 5406), for the sponsored person and each family member 18 years of age or over, signed by the person concerned."

Section B CHILDREN (include all sons and daughters, including ALL adopted and step children, regardless of age or place of residence.

Is my Spouse including my children in this application as step-children ? she doesn't have kids on her own , Im not sponsoring any children. Thanks !

I'm not exactly sure what your question is, but the Additional Family Info form is to be completed by your wife who you are sponsoring.

She will have to fill in the information. If she has no children, the. For the section about children, you will see that it says to sign the middle signature line if you have NO children. So she will have to fill in you as her spouse, the children section sign the line which means she doesn't have any children.

The principal applicant is the person that you are sponsoring ( your spouse) that fills out that form. Since you are sponsoring her, you are the 'sponsor' not the applicant. So it's her and her family that info is needed on the form although she does list you as the spouse but you don't list your parents, siblings etc. I don't know why it's under the sponsored section. Unless you mean 'sponsored person' (again, your wife) the sponsor list and forms are for you only although the whole shebang is sent to Missasauga (sp?) and where the sponsor part is processed then forwarded to the corresponding visa office of your spouse's nationality. Read both the sponsor's guide and the country-specific guide of your spouse, they are extremely helpful in breaking down the info in each question. I hope this helps.

Section B CHILDREN (include all sons and daughters, including ALL adopted and step children, regardless of age or place of residence.

Yes, I'm the Sponsor and she is the applicant. no issue here. on the form, my wife is filling out as the applicant, it's asking to include ALL children including ALL adopted and step children, regardless of age or place of residence.
My question is since we are married, then my children would be her step children. Is she including my children under this Section B ?

No, unless she has formally adopted them.

Now that the application has been filled in, signed and dated by my wife, should I just cross it out and say N/A OR leave it in and if CIC asks tell them that we made a mistake? Will they ask us to fill out new form? My wife just left for the US so I can't re-print it.

Ignore the above poster. Yes, your wife MUST list her step-children.

Thank you !
Under section A, ''Spouse or Common Law Partner'' She has included my name. Is that correct?
My wife is the principal applicant and I'm the sponsor.

Yes, that is also correct.
