Hello,
I'm coming to Montreal for 3-year study program. The expenses for 3 years will be something like that:
Tuition: 54,000
Room and board: 26,000
Other 6,000

First question:
1-year expenses: ~29,000
And the founds available for stay(1-year): 30,000 (from bank accounts)
The difference of 1,000 is quite small.
Should I provide additional proofs of funds or it doesn't matter?

Second question:
If I have savings in cash (10,000 for example), how can I provide proof that I have this money without depositing them into my bank account?

Thanks.

I think, you should deposit your cash into your primary account. It will make your case stronger. 1000 is not enough as they want to see if you run into financial problems you still should have extra money to support your stay.

So, i'd say deposit the cash.

Good Luck!
