IMM0008 Generic form updated in CIC immediately after I mailed my docs.

I mailed my application package yesterday (26-Mar-2014).

Today I checked CIC website and they have an updated form for IMM0008 Generic Application form. Last updated date on bottom of the web page says 24-Mar-2014. In fact I noticed this date change on website on 24th itself and checked every form to see if there is an update to the form. I noticed that they have updated only IMM5610 Document Checklist as this PDF file had (03-2014) in footer. IMM0008 had (11-2013) on footer and this was the form I sent. I am seeing (03-2014) in IMM0008 today meaning they updated IMM0008 on 25th or 26th of March.

Will this cause my application to be returned? I am more concerned coz my Indian PCC is valid only for another 1.5 months (and spent 4000 Rs for Fedex ???) and I don't want the application to be returned just for this reason.

no worries they will consider the day you sent not the day they received. You are good and dont panic.

Thanks caththisking. Do CIC maintain any buffer period for these types of changes? Lets say I sent applications today and CIC updated their forms today. Can CIC accept older forms for 1 week or 10 days or so from today?

I also compared older version of IMM0008 with latest form question by question and I couldn't find any obvious difference...

Don't worry, you'll be fine. If the form has been updated a couple of days before you send it, CIC will still accept the older version.
However, if the form you used was like really outdated, and not even the version before the update then you might get your package back.
