IMM0008 and IMM5669 forms updated.

Just in case if you have downloaded these forms, please download again. I did the same mistake, i filled out all the forms and at the last moment, somehow wanted to check and found that these forms in the CIC link have been updated. Dint find any great differences from old ones, but just be updated.

Thanks.. I send my application a week ago with the old forms .. not sure when CIC updated those forms.. they should have put an alert on the page.

When I retrieved document information from the forms, it showed the following:

IMM0008 - modified on 07/12/2012
IMM5669 - modified on 13/12/2012

I would venture as far as to say that CIC will probably accept these forms for the current CEC application process (2yrs), but require new ones for the updated process (1yr req). Just to be on the safe side, you might wanna call and check with CIC directly. I'm also assuming that they still have incoming applications with the older forms, so there must be some designated transition period for the update to take effect.

It purely depends on the date of applying. If you are applying today, you are expected to use the forms available on the portal as on date. There is nothing to be concerned for the package that one has already sent if he or she has used the forms available as on that date.

Just as a precautionary measure, everyone who sends out the package should atleast once visit the portal (before dispatching the package) and make sure they have the latest version of the form.

The numbers you saw I posted wouldn't be available or highlighted, as they were embedded in the document. Anyways, the point is...you can see the date/version of the form on the very left bottom of each form. Open the forms from the CIC website (for the most current) and you will see something along the lines of (12-2012)...meaning it was updated in Dec '12.

i.e. IMM 5620 (01-2013) ... implies that it was updated in and is effective of Jan '13
