Hello, I am wondering if anyone can provide any clarification on this. I am sponsoring my spouse who was under 18 five years ago, and her/her family was sponsored by her brother (who is in canada), but got declined due to inconstant information. Now I am sponsering my spouse, which of these should I select "yes"

Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family
members listed in your application for permanent residence in
Canada, ever:

c) made previous claims for refugee protection in Canadaor at a Canadian visa office abroad, in any other country or countries, or with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)?

d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

e) been refused admission to, or ordered to leave, Canada or any other country?

Thanks for your assistance. :)

The form IMM 5669 is a principal applicant form, so your spouse must complete the form.

Your spouse was refused/denied a PR sponsorship so in the form you would need to select option d).

Correct answer is "d)"

Thanks everyone for your quick help!

As for the refusal reason..any advise on what to mention or how to write it?
Basically the checklist info did not match a previous family sponsor application form from 10 years prior,
where it was selected differently..so it was declined.

Thanks again.

Your spouse should write what was on the refusal letter - CIC has this information, so there is no "roundabout" way.

Hi everyone,

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

I have applied in SINP Express entry and got Nomination. While filling the PR application I came to know that My father-in-law has applied for Canada PR in 2002
when my spouse age was 14 year and that file was refused in 2007 when my spouse age was 19 year.
My father-in-law has included my spouse as a dependent child.

Now the questions are
1)While submiting the SINP Application in Schedule A Background_Declaration from in point 6(d).

"Has <xyz> been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa
(including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program)
or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?"

I have selected NO.
Do I need to select yes and sent to SINP before submitting the PR file?

2)In the Express entry Profile, there is one question in spouse section.

"Do you ever applied for permanent resident?"

I have selected No.
