hi,

I need some advise on this one, i had send the IMM 5669 Forms while applying for my parents sponsorship.

today i got a letter telling me

Submission of a Schedule A – Background/Declaration form (IMM 5669), for you and all dependent family members, where question 8 – Personal History and question 12 – Addresses, cover the entire period since the age of 18, leaving no gaps, if not already submitted with answers covering this entire period.

Entire period since age 18 my father is now 68 so thats like 50 yrs...... that confuses me while i had send there application i had filled for past 10 years. i dont know do i have to resend this application again as i have already submitted for the past 10 years .

it also says if not already submitted with answers covering this entire period , is it the last 10 years or entire period ?

Since 18 years. Ie last 50 years. Use additonal sheet if required. Thier is no confusion. 10 year is applicable if say person age is 27. Then from age 17 till 27 for 10 years
Instruction say whichever come earlier. 18 come earlier than 58 age iin ur father case. While 17 come earlier than 18 for person with age 27

If they have asked for the ENTIRE PERIOD, that's exactly what they mean. I also received the same request during my PR application as a sponsored spouse, even though I had already submitted a 10 years coverage form. I had to cover a 35 years period in the new form. This was the London visa office. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/thread-for-outland-london-uk-applications-t49436.0.html;msg2319226#msg2319226

You should submit for last 10 years only as that is the latest.
This is, unfortunately, incorrect. You must comply with the exact instruction given.

This IMM 5669 E (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5669E.pdf) states -

List all addresses where you have lived since your 18th birthday or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent.

So it should be ok to list history from last 10 years if a person is 29+ as it is most recent.

Is this the form you were referring to?

The visa office can and has send specific overriding instructions. It's the visa office instructions that must be followed.

Still cant decide if I need to follow the application instruction or visa office that has asked for 50 years of work history and addresses.

Need advise from more senior members.

Thanks.

Your question has already been answered. Visa officer trumps application instructions. As explained, the visa officer can request more information if required.

I applied for my parents last year (2019). Recently, I got an email from CIC requesting the following docs.

Schedule A Online: Please submit a NEW updated Schedule A Background/Declaration
(IMM5669) with information from the age of 18, detailing your education, personal history,
membership or association with organizations, government positions, military and/or paramilitary
service and addresses. This must be received at this office by: xx-xx-2020.

Can you please tell me which section of the form should I update? Do I need to provide the personal history and address detail since they become 18 yrs old or last 10 years only.
