When reading IMM 5532, it says that I need to provide, "Birth certificates or baptismal certificates for yourself and all family members, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not."

Do I actually have to do get copies of birth certificates for ALL family members? I feel like this requirement is written to vague. I feel like they just want close family? Like mom and dad and brother or sister?

Also, near the bottom of the checklist is says in bold, "Do not complete a medical examination at this time."
I have done a medical exam already and I did it before this new forums came out... Should I not include the medical documents with my application? I don't feel like paying another 300$......

For spousal sponsorship, it means only for dependents. If you have no dependent (child) then you should only provide your BC. It's Ok to include your medical. They will see the date as to when you had it done. Make sure also that your application gets to CPC not later than the end of this month.

Family members

An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

As you did your medical prior to the new forms coming out, it's fine to include it. You will not need to do a new one.

Thanks for the replies! To triple check.... So I only need to include my BC and any dependents of mine and anyone that is coming with me. In my case, I have no dependents and no children although I am married but my wife isn't a dependent of mine. So I would only need to include mine?
