Help please!

I (Australian) am being sponsored by my common law partner (Canadian).

Does the form IMM 5409 (Statutory Declaration of a Common Law Union) need to be completed?

From what I read it only needs to be completed if the sponsor application has a co-signer - is this correct? (I assume I am not the co-signer).

Also, I am providing letters from friends/family vouching for our continuing and genuine relationship - do these need to be notarized or printed on any kind of special stat dec letterhead or are they OK just dated and signed? Not sure if a stat dec needs to be official or special in some way.

Thankyou!

IMM5409 is not needed.

You need to have 2 statutory declarations from family/friends. The letters are on normal paper, something they can write or type up at home, and are then signed in front of a Notary or Commissioner of Oaths. Any other letters don't need to be notarized.
