People over here are better judge to analyse whether they are being mislead or being given information, which can help them. One applicant cannot change that angle. So kindly do not take any of my opinion which I had given you previously anymore and carry on with your own set of available information.

Best of luck on your immigration to Canada.

Some one who asks for advice and then can't be bothered to listen. You are correct, if s/he can't be bothered to submit anything to prove that his/her relative is living in Canada, then s/he has only him/herself to blame when the 5 points is not awarded.

Anything???

PR Card, Marriage Cert, Cofirmation of Residency. They are the only things to be provided as per the singapore office Instruction. Why would there be any chance of rejection on the basis of no providing the 1st blood info which I would have already provided to t CIC.

Give reasons !!! CIC just have no ground whatsoever to disallow that 5 points if My country spec instructions are properly met. Delhi office needs them, not Singapore. With Full admiration to all participants, I am saying this.

Dear PMM, Ja77, Samir & Rocky,

Here's one of those few unfortunate cases where the 'tirple As' (AAA -Argumentative, Arrogance & Attitude) are overbearing, as we've been discussing in other threads. It'll be better that the OP now takes all the burden onto him/herself.

Let's join hands & pray for that overwhelming soul. In this festive season let the benevolence of the almighty decide for him/her. We poor mortals may hitherto try & address other posters' uncertainities & live him/herself to him/herself.

Brothers -PMM, Ja77, Samir & Rocky; and other seniors like Leon, Bobby, Rupeshhari, Karlshamar et all; u guys rock! Plz continue to be the way u r. U guys r doing yeoman service and let everyone benifit from it... the way we had been all along, in this wonderful forum.

Gratis Amigos !!!

They are not telling you to ignore your visa office specific requirments but sometimes the visa office checklist is not updated.

The point here in granting the adaptability points (for relatives) is to have a first blood canadian citizen or permanent resident relative who is living in canada.

Have a look at the following instructions on how to grant the points in that regard for applicants around the world regardless which country you are applying from :

"d) Relatives in Canada:

• Award five points if the applicant or accompanying spouse or common- law partner has a relative (parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, child of a parent, child of a grandparent, or grandchild of a parent) who is residing in Canada and is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident."

Pages : at the end of page 32 and the beginning of page 33.

I think all of us here are conveying the same thing and that is "Better Safe than Sorry"

Requirements are that your blood relative should have PR and currently residing in Canada are clear. So why take chances and prove beyond doubt he is a resident and currently residing in Canada.

didn't keep a tab on this thread after posting my first reply to the OP. but now i see a lot has happened since then :). thanks qorax for the words of encouragement. for the OP, hope you have found your answer by now.
